The Mission’s financial supporters and volunteers, Partners in Ministry, have consistently given their time, talents and financial resources over the years to make the Mission ministries the effective outreach they are today. The Mission Partnership Program is the Mission’s way of acknowledging and thanking its Partners in Ministry for making this happen, encouraging them to continue and encouraging others to become partners. The following designations are used for this purpose:

 FINANCIAL PARTNERS

Sharing Partners           Faith Partners

$85.00 - $999.99       $1,000 - $4,999.99

          Hope Partners                  Charity Partners

        $5,000.00 - $9,999.99      $10,000 - $99,999.99

                          Vision Partners

                             $500,000+

The above Partners will be recognized annually in the Mission's Annual report, which will cover the prior year's gifts.

       Heritage Partners                 Grace Partners

$100,000.00 - $249,999.99     $250,000 - $499,999.99

Heritage and Grace Partner's gifts are cumulative.  When the total given reaches or exceeds $100,000.00, whether given in one year or over a number of years, the donor will be recognized with a plaque that will be displayed in the Mission Youth Center.  the beginning point in determining these gifts is January 1995 to coincide withthe year the Mission Youth Center Campaign gegan, and the partners will be recognized in the Annual Report for the year in which they reach one of these levels of giving.

Legacy Partners

These are donors who have made arrangements for Deferred Gifts (auch as wills, charitable trusts, annuities and life insurance policies).  Legacy Partners will be recognized in the Annual Report each year.

IN-KIND PARTNERS

Many people, businesses, and other groups donate food, clothing, furniture, and other items to the Mission to use in its ministries.  Because of the extremely large number of such donations, it is impossible to recognize each donor.  There may, however, be donors whose in-kind gifts in any year are so large or represent such a special commitment that they warrant recognition, which will be given in the Annual Report.

VOLUNTEER PARTNERS

Many individuals and groups give volunteer hours to help with youth services (youth camp & MYC Club), family help (Community Cafe & clothing stores), office support, and in other ways.  Because of the scope of volunteer activities, it would be impossible to have qa record of everyone who volunteered.  We will be able to recognize in the annual report those volunteers who made a special commitment of their time.

Thank You

We recognize that the Mission is what it is today because of Partners in Ministry.  We hope that you will accept our offer to thank you in this way.  We hope that you will see this as a way to let others know that you are reaching out to those who are in need in our community.  We hope that you will see this as a way to encourage others to reach out also.

If, however, you wish to remain anonymous, please let us know and we will not publish your name as a Partner in Ministry.

Neal’s Notes

The “Annual Report” provides a synopsis of the Union Mission’s efforts in 2010 to be a place of hope to people who found themselves faced with needs which forced them to look beyond their own personal means.   None of us dreamed that flood waters would flow into our community, causing such damage.  The Mission was able to help many families and individuals with furniture, food, clothing, and other items. The Mission has also worked with other organizations in projects such as “Feed the Need” to help bring extra food to families in need. The Mission’s food ministries have been aided by multiple food drives held by members of our community.

I have been blessed since the last week of June, 2010, to become a part of the ministry team of the Union Mission as Assistant Director. The Mission has a wonderful group of dedicated staff and volunteers to work with in Dyersburg and Halls.  Pray that people will see Jesus in us as we seek to minister to their particular needs.

Eating lunch with people of all ages who come to the “Community Café” on a daily basis; worshiping together in chapel; helping with the Youth programs when needed; and assisting with “Family Help” are constant reminders of the reason God has placed the Union Mission here. You make this possible through your prayers, volunteering, financial gifts, and store donations. The times we live in are changing rapidly, but one thing can and should remain the same through your support. The Union Mission will continue to be here to minister to our community in the Name and Spirit of Jesus Christ!

Yours in Christ,

Neal Chatham
