Stewardship
Listed below are the Mission's financial principles:
- To set high standards for financial accountability and submit to an annual audit
- To never encourage donors to support the Mission until they have met their obligation to their home church
- To act with integrity when raising funds and always communicate needs openly and honestly
- To use all gifts prayerfully, conservatively and efficiently, realizing that good stewardship requires keeping administrative expenditures as low as possible
- To insure that 100% of financial donations supports ministries at home
- To always use funds as donor designates
The Mission has two types of financial needs:
- ANNUAL FUND - a steady and consistent flow of funds is necessary each year to cover all expenditures
- MINISTRY FUND - When donations exceed annual needs, they are invested in the ministry fund. Over the years, this fund has been important because it has made it possible for the Mission to not only guarantee that annual expenditures were met but also respond to the need to enlarge existing ministries and to develop new ones.
